Before starting at SBS, I worked within the window manufacturing industry at production manager level. However, I didn’t feel that it was a position that aligned well with my skills. As one Christmas approached, and with my wedding scheduled for January 2024, I knew I needed to make a change. I reached out to an SBS employee to enquire about potential opportunities. Thankfully, I was offered a position as a Tenant Liaison Officer at Sustainable Building Services.
I started with the company in January 2024, and I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The support I’ve received from the team, particularly from my managers, Steve Roberts and Jason Oxley, has been incredible. They recognised my potential and gave me the opportunity to step into the role of Assistant Site Manager. I’ve always believed in my abilities, but the real turning point was when others saw it and believed in me, too.
I’m forever grateful to be part of the Sustainable Building Services team, and I’m excited for what the future holds.
