Permarock's Mitch Vasey

Technical Services Manager

I started working at Permarock in April 2014, working in the factory preparing and packing our dry powder renders ready for delivery to our customers’ sites. Following this role, I moved into the warehouse, preparing all of our system components and loading the lorries with all the materials to be delivered to site. The role also involved creating samples of our rendered products to be sent out to specifiers/clients/architects etc. for them to pick/approve a decorative finish for their specific projects.

After two years in this role, I moved into the role of technical services assistant. This involved site visits to view our systems being installed and to offer technical advice, inspect our systems and ensure that they were being installed as per specification.

Progressing through the technical services department, I am currently the Technical Services Manager, and continue to carry out tasks as before. However, I now also manage the diaries for our technicians to ensure that all projects are receiving technical assistance throughout the installation of our systems. I also now oversee training sessions and demonstrations of installing our External Wall Insulation (EWI) systems and finishes. This takes place within our dedicated training rooms at our Permarock offices and on-site.
